Are Celebrant Ceremonies legal?

At the present time in English Law, couples must first attend a Registry Office and gain a legal marriage certificate. This can be just a simple registry office ceremony which takes approximately 15 minutes . You will need 2 witnesses. This covers the legal requirements.

Then, you can enjoy a celebrant wedding - created especially for your. No copies of everyone else’s ceremony - your own special day, where you want, how you want.

How Different is A Celebrant Ceremony?

Your ceremony can be as long or as short as you would like. I think its nice to add friends and family into a ceremony as its such a special day - let everyone be a part of it. If you want a much simpler ceremony - lets create that too.

The ceremony is exclusively yours. No copies, no copy and paste, totally different to everyone else’s.

Working with me to tell your story, Include: your favourite music, poems , readings or even add a special ceremony (Sand ceremony, candle ceremony) so more of your guests can be involved.. Have members of the family take an active roll.

You can have your ceremony any day of the week- not just at weekends.

You can write your own vows to each other.

Are there any restrictions on where you can have a Celebrant Wedding Ceremony?

A Celebrant Wedding Ceremony can be held anywhere: hotel, barn. garden, by the sea, woodland, historical house….. Why not have it in the first place you had that special couples dinner, that special holiday destination, the wonderful walks go you on, that special family place…
